Ehrwald welcomes you immersed in the charm of the Wetterstein Mountains in the Alps, at the foot of the majestic Zugspitze peak, about a thousand meters above sea level. This picturesque mountain village is situated in a valley bathed in sunshine which since the very beginning of the twentieth century is equipped with a convenient cable car.

In the region surrounding the Tiroler Zugspitze Arena you will find eight different lakes and numerous waterfalls, including the waterfalls Häselgähr and Seeben. The walkers will be spoiled for choice with the verdant nature trails.

Thanks to the cable cars "Tiroler Zugspitzbahn" and "Ehrwalder Almbahn" you can reach the tops of the mountains, where several huts were built for an overnight stay at high altitude that will allow you to tackle longer and challenging trips.

Downstream, instead, the main attractions consist of a beautiful golf course with nine holes and the typical farm "Ziegenstall Peter", where you can buy local cheese, fresh milk and ice cream.

During the winter there are numerous slopes accessible from Ehrwald. Thanks to the "Happy Ski Card " you will enjoy the access to all the tracks of the surroundings, from the" Platt " glacier to the area of Garmisch-Partenkirchen/Germany.

It is also worth visiting the town in June, for the summer solstice, to enjoy the popular festival with fireworks. During the show, the sky is illuminated by the light of fires burning in the mountains that create various shapes.
