Located a few kilometers from Innsbruck, there is the popular tourist resort of Igls, a charming alpine village surrounded by the magic of a sunny plateau at an altitude of 870 meters.
During the summer thanks to a convenient cable car you can get to the summit of Mount Patscherkofel, the starting point of numerous hiking trails, and even of the way tothe highest alpine garden in Austria.
Do not miss a visit to Heiliwasser, where in the seventeenth century was built a church after the appearance of Our Lady, as well as a walk along lake Lansersee. Another fun option is offered by the golf course with nine holes "Olympia Golf Igls”.
During the winter you will find several ski slopes, each with a different degree of difficulty. Olympia is the most famous: here have challenged famous skier such as Franz Klammer and Hermann Maier. There is also an Olympic bobsled track and one for sleds, as well as facilities to practice all winter sports, from figure skating to curling. A free shuttle bus will take you to the ski lifts.
