It is the heart of the Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck skiing area, a paradise for winter sports, where everyone, children, amateurs or experienced skiers can find trails suitable for their entertainment. Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck includes 8 ski areas that provide access to 81 lifts over 280 km of slopes. The snow is guaranteed until spring also on the many cross-country trails.
Interesting peculiarity: all the districts are connected not only directly from the slopes, but even by free ski bus. The ski resort Nordpark (Seegrube) is the closest to Innsbruck and offers a steep descent from Hafelekar and Seegrube as well as slopes for snowboarders. The village of Tulfes, south-east of the city, and Glungezer, are classic destinations for lovers of skiing through the woods. Ten miles west of Innsbruck is the Ranger Köpfl, you can ski to almost 2000 meters amidst splendid views.

For cross-country skiing there are many pistes: at 1700 meters is the path of 15 km of Lüsens in the valley of Sellraintal, other rings are set up to 2000 meters in Küthai, the Stubai Glacier and Schlick. Even at low altitude it is possible to ski over more than 40 km of tracks, which connect the towns in the highlands of Mutters / Natters, Rinn and Axams / Birgitz.
The night skiing is practiced in the Kühtai, Ranger Köpfl and Patscherkofel areas. 3 and 4 star hotels in Innsbruck are located in the city and near the ski runs: as it is for almost all hotels in Austria, there are available spaces for children and wellness centers.
