The Vilar Rural de Cardona is a countryside development that has a rural village feel to it, as well as offering its guests all the comfort and quality services you would expect from a 3 star establishment. Found on the hillside overlooking the deep valley of “Cardener”, opposite the town centre and the Cardona Castle. The hotel features an animal farm and vegetable gardens where many activities are run and guests get involved.

When approaching the hotel from in the car you will pass a “masía” (traditional Catalán cottage) called “Ca La Masovera”, where you can enjoy the superb view over the gardens of our development. From here, on foot, you can follow the path down to the reception, a meeting point for all the activities and a small shop where we sell our home grown produce and souvenirs. This main building acts as the centre of our small rural holiday “village” and where you will find the restaurant, the café-bar and multifunctional rooms that apart from having stunning panoramic views are also ideal for small conferences or work meetings. The accommodation is found in the other buildings. The hotel is totally surrounded by nature and countryside. An ideal setting for taking part in some of the activities run by the hotel in its own Farm!There are 2 swimming pools, one adults and one child. The views from the hotel are superb views: on the left, Port del Comte, the Cadi mountain range, Busa mountain range, Pedraforca, Rassos de Peguera and Queralt mountain range, Cardona's castle opposite and Montserrat to the left.

Essen & Trinken

Our restaurant "El Restaurant del Vilar", has a buffet and grilled food. Meals are simple with a wide variety including meals suitable for children. Different dishes every day, according to the season. Capacity for 130 people. Our bar is rural but elegant with a nice atmosphere, we offer a wide range of home-made sandwiches at excellent prices. In summer you can enjoy the two terraces: one is located in the Vilar’s Square and the other looks onto Cardona’s Castle as well as the Vilar’s kitchen garden.
