
The "Queen of beaches”, Biarritz, is a charming town located in the French Atlantic coast, in the Aquitaine region. in the nineteenth century, Empress Eugenie fell in love with this town, once known only as a fishing area for whales, and launched the transformation of Biarritz in a valuable seaside resort.
The fate of the city was also helped by her husband Napoleon III, who built the palace in the shape of E, the Hotel du Palais, in honor of his beloved, which is now a luxury hotel. The city, which has more than 28 thousand inhabitants, is in Aquitaine, in the department of Pyrenees-Atlantiques, and given its proximity to the Spanish land, it is also part of the French Basque country.
