Les Deux Alpes is a renowned tourist resort in the French region of Oisans, straddling the municipalities of Mont-de-Lans and Vénosc. The town takes its name from the fact that it is right at the intersection of Northern and Southern Alps, where you can ski even in summer, on the large glacier at 3600 meters of altitude.
Right on the Glacier a Snow-Park is set up and used by the national teams of Alpine Skiing and all international athletes for training during the summer.
At 3400 meters above sea level, you can visit the beautiful Ice Cave where you can find beautiful sculptures in ice. In addition to classic skiing you can go skating, have fun at the Adventure Park, or enjoy boating on Lake Chambon, golfing, hiking, rafting or bungee jumping.
After a busy day of sports, you can relax in the many restaurants in the region, have fun in clubs and pubs, or go shopping in the many stores and boutiques.
During the summer, Les Deux Alpes offers many folk festivals: the most beautiful are the Hay Festival – which celebrates the customs and habits of the past – and the traditional feast of Mont de Lans, which is held every August 15th.
