Morzine is part of the largest ski area Les Portes du Soleil, which includes more than 280 trails for downhill skiing for a total of 650 km, 140 km of loops for cross-country and as many as 8 snowparks. Les Portes du Soleil, in addition to Morzine-Avoriaz, includes also the towns of Abondance, Annegasse, Champoussin, Châtel, Evian, Excenevex, La Chapelle d'Abondance, Les Crosets, Les Gets, Montriond, Saint Jean d'Aulps Torgon.

In particular, from Morzine-Avoriaz are accessible 66 runs for a total of 110 km and almost a hundred for cross-country skiing. So, for those who love skiing there is plenty of choice: for example from the south side of the valley you come to Les Gets, skiing in the freestyle district, or down from the peaks above 2000 meters of peak Nyon or Chamossaire. The north side of the valley instead, called the Super Morzine, leads up to Avoriaz, and connects to the Swiss ski resorts of Champéry.
