Attended since the 80s by the punk community, in Kreuzberg, one of the a neighborhood cut off from the wall, the more interesting streets are the Oranienstrasse, the Wiener Strasse and the Schlesische Tor. Here, there are plenty of places where to have fun, especially during the night. One of the main attractions is the Checkpoint Charlie, one of the most popular crossing points among the east and west areas of the city at the time of the Cold War.
In Kreuzberg there is the Jewish Museum, characterized by the history of the Jews; the German Technology Berlin (museum of science and technology); the Viktoriapark and Gorlitzer parks. Kreuzberg is midway between the downtown and the Berlin-Tempelhof airport. In the northern district, towards the Old Town, on the Heinrich Heine Strasse, there are numerous hotels.
