Schöneberg is a residential neighborhood in the south-west of the city. Here JF Kennedy uttered the phrase "Ich bin ein Berliner", here the actress Marlene Dietrich was born, and here there is a market of Winterfeldplatz (one of the most beautiful in the city, for clothing and food), but most importantly, this is an area with many clubs and bars.
It is worth visiting: the Liberty Bell of the old city hall in West Berlin, JF Kennedy Square, the Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe), the largest European department store, seven floors, 26 elevators, 400 000 different items, more than 50 thousand visitors every day. Some of the most famous squares in the district are: Bayerischer Platz, with the homes of intellectuals and artists, Innsbrucker Platz, Nollendorfplatz and Wittenbergplatz where at the corner with Tauentzienstraße is the department store KaDeWe.
