The great lawn Theresienwiese (or ' Wiesn ', the lawn, in Bavarian dialect) where the Oktoberfest is held, is located south west of the city centre and is accessible by the subway lines U4 and U5. On that field, in 1810 Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen and Prince Ludwig I got married: since then, the festival takes place every year for two weeks, a great event known all around the world. The large field of Theresienwiese - over 400 thousand square meters large - is bordered to the west by the Statue of Bavaria, and to the east by Esperantoplatz.
Every year, the Theresienwiese turns into a huge amusement park: also, there are many Festhalle, or Festzelt, the stands set up by historical breweries of Munich, which can accommodate from 5 to 10 thousand people.Book online or call our reservation hotline from Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm (CET – Central European Time).+39 0362 540495
