Ulm is an ancient German city, a major tourist destination. The historical centre of Ulm is full of palaces, churches and monuments, but also squares and narrow streets lined with old houses and where shopping is truly a pleasure. Ulm is also a university town, always crowded with young people and characterized by an intense cultural activity. But it is also an industrial city, with various conference and exhibition centers of the highest caliber.
Among the main buildings to visit, there are the cathedral - with the higher stone bell-tower in the world (over 160 meters), from whose top you can enjoy a fantastic panorama of the city and its surroundings, and the castle Wilhelmsburg on Mount Michelsberg, with its three five-story guard towers. Of great interest is the old quarter Auf dem Kreuz, very picturesque, with houses of the seventeenth century and the historical arsenal, Zeughaus, with the Renaissance porch and the beautiful fountain Einstein-Brunnen.
