One of the main attractions of the Jordaan neighborhood, which lies among Prinsengracht, Brouwersgracht, Raamstraat and Marnixstraat is the Westertoren, a tower of 85 meters near the church Westerkerk. Joordan is a historic neighborhood of migrants recovered in 1900 and that around half of the '70s began to be inhabited by artists who open their galleries just here. Today it is a trendy neighborhood and in Tuinstraat it is possible to have good shopping.
To visit in the neighborhood there are a couple of interesting churches: Westerkerk, where Rembrandt was buried, who lived his last years in poverty just in this district; and Noorderkerk, Protestant church where often there are concerts of classical music. Famous are also the little hidden courtyards in which they organize musical events. In the neighborhood there is also the house of Anne Frank and the Pianola Museum with a collection of pianos and pianolas. Hotels and pensions are not very numerous in Jordaan, anyway the choice is wide, both for economic solutions and luxury-5 star hotels.
