Valencia is a unique city not only in Spain but also throughout Europe. The urban centre contains, infact, side by side, splendid palaces of ancient origin, Roman, Arab, from the golden age, the XV century, up to modern times, as well as cutting-edge and contemporary buildings and structures.
In the last few decades Valencia has seen internationally renowned architects competing to create incredible buildings. Impossible to list them all, but definitely worth visiting are the Oceanogràfic, the largest marine park in Europe, by architect Félix Candela from Madrid, the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, complex dedicated to science, designed by Santiago Calatrava from Valencia, who also designed the Pont de les Flors and the Umbracle, a suspension public garden.
Because of its double soul of history and modernity, Valencia is considered an open-air museum, as well as Barcelona. For this reason the city attracts millions of tourists all year round, who can also enjoy the magnificent beaches bordering the Mediterranean Sea.
The hotels offer in Valencia is very wide and very diverse. Near the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències there are luxury 4 and 5 star hotels njoying an excellent local bus service that connects them to the historical centre of Valencia.
