Flims is a great tourist destination in the canton of Grisons in Switzerland: with the countries of Laax and Falera, it forms the White Arena ski area. In this big area for winter sports, over 70% of the 220 km of pistes are located over 2000 meters of altitude.
In the White Arena ski area, the highest place where to ski is on Vorab Gletscher, at 3000 meters. The municipalities of Flims, Laax and Falera make available to winter tourists more than 220 kilometers of tracks, loops for cross-country skiing, freestyle facilities, two different half-pipe and two snowparks. The area of Flims also leads to two sub-districts, Flims-Waldhaus and Flims-Dorf.
One of the most interesting features of Flims is that the tracks start and end almost in the centre of the town, making it absolutely unnecessary to use a car: on skis you can leave from a thousand meters of altitude of the country and reach 3000 mt, reaching the chairlift with heated seats. One of the most interesting tracks is the No 20, which from La Siala goes down to Flims with a path of 1,700 mt, and n. 65, Crap Sogn Gion- Laax Murschetg, 2200 meters long, which reaches the village of Larnags.
During the summer season, Flims offers more than 250 trails through woods, pastures and the area of the Great Forest of Flims, the largest in the Grisons, as well as the Rhine Gorge, dubbed the Grand Canyon of Switzerland, with sheer cliffs on the Rhine Valley, and over Lake Cauma.

Every year, in Flims are held major events and sporting events like the Burton European Open, a gathering of European snowboarders, and the Red Bull Trailfox, international competition of mountain biking. In addition, there is the annual Flims Klang, festival of classical music with events in several areas of the town.
